We have a global approach to the entire process from development of the best practices for jatropha seeds selection, nursery operations, plantation management and harvesting by or competence center located at a owned farm and facility in Pariquera-Acu, up to the industrial oil production by a facility to be constructed at an industrial site located in Jacupiranga, with an advanced process for the local generation of electrical power by the biogas produced by fermentation of the solid waste after the pressing of seeds.

Our agro industrial model is based on plantation module sized to about 25.000 hectares that can be easily replicated several times in our region, where each module is expected to produce up to 50.000 tons of oil.
We have chosen the Jatropha oil bearing plant mostly because the ethical and environmental compatibility of such species against other perennial plants as the palm oil plants.
As matter of fact the jatropha plant does not compete for land use with food crops as the jatropha can use marginal land in the tropical bend with rain fall between 300 and 1000 mm/y and may survive to drought seasons. For this reasons our projects is supported by NGOs as the KEPHA foundation with headquarters in Rome, that see in the development of such long term agro industrial projects the possibility of human promotion to contrast the displacement of rural population where traditional cultivations as cotton or coffee for exempla has been abandoned because economic reasons.
